Has anyone heard a fishing report for this area? Family is renting a place for Thanksgiving and I'm bringing my boat over. Never fished the area but have done some research from previous years' articles and videos.
Just curious if it's been any good this year with the weird weather.
Thanks in advance fellas.

Here, I stalked the Lake Pontchartrain Fishing FB page and found you some info.
Run to where unknown pass meets lake borgne. Look for birds. If no birds work the cuts off of inner coastal and lake borgne and you will find fish. Look for bait and moving water. You can also try the bridges in between the inner coastal and lake Catherine.
The mouth of Unknown pass on the lake Catherine side, on the point get about 200 feet from it in 30 ft of water an anchor. We've caught loads of white trout there. Good day for a kid to just drop line and catch fish.
I've also gone to this point and anchor on a falling tide and catch reds.

Haven't fished over there in years, but used to put a hurting on the flounder up against the rocks by the fort.

If you see water coming or going in throughways/choke points fish a drop shot or tandem rig. Check you depth as you may be fishing 10 ft or 40ft. Adjust bottom weight accordingly

I don’t know what type of boat you are bringing, but they are catching at the twin spans. It’s not an easy spot for a first timer.

Entire area has been on fire the last few weeks.

In the mornings fish the passes with drop shot & live shrimp.
In the afternoon go look for diving birds and toss a cork with artificial shrimp or jig head with matrix shad glow.
Trout and reds will be caught by all. Fall is easy fishing.

They've been catching at the L and N tracks and a few reds in the marsh. I have a buddy that stays in a camp with a pier and he's catching a few at night as well.
