Anyone ever hunted there? We are thinking of scheduling a trip but wondering about being safe. Would like to keep my head on my shoulders.

I went bass fishing there back in '07 before all the latest BS started. It was shady as hell and I would not return.
We received EVERYTHING we asked for while staying down there. That trip made me realize why we need rules, laws, police, church, parents, extended family, and all the other things that help keep one in check.

We're looking to have fun and don't mind some shadiness, the guy is cutting us a good deal which is making me a little nervous. Is there a good bit of ducks and doves?

Not sure we were trophy bass fishing. I never left the compound we were staying in. If you had money they would bring you anything you asked for including a stringer of bass to take pictures with.

I had to go dig up the hat they gave us.
The hat says "Club Exclusvio"

I am going to have to see if this guy has a compound, that would make me feel a little better.

Fished there 2x never hunted. Was in the mid-late 90's so nothing shady except the border and checkpoint guards. Would not even consider it in today's environment. You are on your own out there.

We used to go twice a year, sometimes we would go to San Lorenzo. We would have 6 trucks, all towing boats and a motorhome. Be prepared to pay off the Federales, each small town we came to, if you give them an LSU cap or a 6 pack of beer, you're good to go. They will start going thru your shite until you offer something. Guerrero has a thatch roof pavilion at camp area, if no one is there it makes a nice setup for the week. Never hunted it but we would bring a chest freezer and run a generator on it, it would be full of filets on way home. Plenty of birds. Haven't been in close to ten years, probably hasn't changed much

If we go we are going to fly directly there from the US. Its a decent ways from the border so hopefully it is a little more peaceful.
