Does anyone have a lawn care feeding and treatment schedule they follow year to year?
I have a general idea, but would like to know when to put down pre emergents, fertilizers, etc.

I was just thinking about this yesterday. I used some early weed and feed but was wondering if there is something I should be putting down now, or getting ready to put down.

I found this but I don't know if it applies in the south. It may though. Can somebody confirm? LINK

Where do you live and what type of grass?
I live in Baton Rouge and have all St. Augustine grass. I typically put Weed & Feed down in April (when the grass starts growing) and in late July (to keep the late summer weeds, particularly Virginia Buttonweed, from taking over late in the summer). I'll typically run the sprinklers only after 7 days of no rain. That's about it.

I have a centipede lawn that is not very big, so it is no trouble for me to spend time on it. I use Scott's weed and feed in late February or early March. I bought one of the spreaders that uses the pop in bag. When the bag is empty from the weed and feed, I buy a bag of general purpose fertilizer 10 10 10 and slit the feeder bag and pour in the general purpose fertilizer. I use the 101010 every thirty days after the initial weed and feed through June or early July. I don't apply any fertilizer after that. If you fertilize too late in the growing season, your grass may be subject to winter kill. I also treat problem areas of Bermuda grass with Over The Top and nutsedge with Image.

Centipede should have 15-0-15 or 16-4-8

Does anybody know if the LSU Ag center has a publication on Centipede maintenance? I have one for Clemson but that is in South Carolina.

The best way to avoid centipede problems is to avoid over-fertilization by applying between 1 and, at most, 2 pounds of nitrogen per 1,000 square feet per season

One pound
of nitrogen per 1000 square feet each year is usually enough
to maintain healthy, attractive centipede. Apply half in the
spring and half in July.

Central AL, bermuda.
I typically have a terrible time with the poa annua in the winter. I'm the a hole that has to cut his grass year round because the poa annua takes over.

I have Bermuda that I put down in February. It's surviving but I'm not pleased with the thickness or color. I'm not sure exactly what to put down on it at this time.

I like that second LSU AG center link. I wish it had a better looking format though. Kind of like a month to month maintenance plan with troubleshooting like that one at the end.
