Went to Nola golf tournament yesterday. They were everywhere. Just bought new white truck. What’s this boards bug stain preventing protocol ?? TIA.

Are they already splattered on the truck? If so, wash and remove bugs immediately. Follow up with a clay bar, then use a good sealent or ceramic based wax. Adding another sacrificial layer of wax on top will make future bug removal even easier. I’d use a carnuba wax for the second layer (it will only last a few weeks so reapplying may be necessary.)

You think they're bad on your truck, try a motorcycle. Getting caught up in a swarm of those nasty things is a recipe for a TON of work getting a bike clean------and the person riding it.

It won't take long for your bike to look like the back of a toilet bowl after a late night visit to Taco Bell.

Not a preventative but if they are already on the truck, dryer sheets are the best way to get them off.

Please do not do this on a new truck. It’s terrible for your paint, if that’s something you care about. It’s up there with using bug spray for foggy headlights. Do it right and you’ll get better results.

As long as you wash it off after, you will have no problem. And don't scrub too hard. New or other.
