Any of yall got reports. Would love to catch 4-5 dozen crabs for a boil. Shrimp and Marsh Reds/flounder would be a bonus.

UPDATE: went ti Rockefeller. crabs were everwhere, but a lot small and A TON of gators (harvest starts Sept 1). Caught about 5 dozen decent ones. Kept a few smaller ones that are good gumbo size, will freeze for fall.

Shrimp were running some, and decent size. Could pick up 10 lbs easy if you were willing to work.

Water was salty towards the Gulf, picked up a couple specks though weren't really there to fish.

Boat or from weirs near landing? Did the set traps, use nets, or scoop?

Do you know if they tried to castnet?

I’d say Rockefeller is easier and probably would be more productive depending on where you’re coming from.

Maurice. Marsh Island is longer when you factor in boat travel

Salinity in Vermilion Bay is 1.2 ppt right now. Last year at this time it was 12.0-14.0 . Too much fresh water.

I wasn't sure of the correct name. I looked it up. It is Price Lake Rd.

I may just give up on Vermilion Bay altogether. Conditions are too fickle, and too many other good spots (Rockefeller, Cameron, Rollover, etc...) that are similar total travel time

Does Rollover landing still have that tricky boat launch?
