Looking to buy a new scope in the $500-700 range and these are my top 2 as of now. The Meopro is 6-18x50 which is plenty and the Monarch is 6-24x50. I know plenty of people have the Monarch but I've read really good things on the Meopta. Anyone have experience it has Meopta or know how these two compare?

The Meopro is far better than the Nikon. Our best selling scope for a reason

You could also look at a Vortex Viper at that price point as well.

That was originally my first pick but after doing research it seems like the Meopro glass is much better and the Monarch even has better clarity and light transmission than the Viper according to reviews.

I was talked into the Meopro a few years ago from some guys on here. One of the best decisions I've ever made. You won't regret it

Thanks for all the help guys. Think I'm about to pull the trigger not the Meopro.

Which reticle would you recommend? It'll be mainly for deer hunting out to 400 yards also is there a version that's standard instead of metric? Not a big deal if not.

I've got the Meopro 4x12x50 on one of my rifles and am very pleased with it. I looked at all of them when I purchased two years ago.

I have 2 of the Meopta Meostar 3-12x56 with the europlex and I absolutely love them. I always recommend them.

Listen to Carson- I have plenty of Nikon glass and it's just not in the same league as Meopta.

I have a 3-9x50 with the BDC on my straight pull rimfire build. Check out the McWhorter reticles if you want something for drop compensation, Z-II or #4 if you want something standard. The bold posts on the #4 are awesome in low light

I went with the German #4 and feel the cross hairs are too thick. I love the scope but my favorite reticle is my Zeiss HD5 with the little lines below the cross hairs. I'm too tired to look up what the reticle is called

I ordered the Z-II. I think it'll be good for what I'm wanting.
