Eh…
Pros:
It’s extremely accurate and the trigger is pretty good as well

Cons:
Slide stop is very weak and won’t hold open on the last round (that I’ve found yet)
It’s very picky on ammo
Tried Remington Golden bullets and the gun won’t function with those.
CCI Mini Mags it ran much better. It may have had one hang up.
The magazines are a huge pain in the arse. If someone has a shortcut to loading them correctly, I’d love to know it.
I’ve yet to clean it so I can’t tell you if there is any lead build up. I don’t see any.

Over all, I’m afraid it’s a swing and a miss For a $400-500 gun, that’s pretty inexcusable in my opinion.

ETA; if I’m on my farm and carrying for snakes, I’ll be carrying my S&W M&P 22. It eats anything.

How many rounds through it? Do you think more CCI’s through it will break it in more and improve function for some of the other ammo? Do you think more break in will fix the slide stop/hold open issue, also?

I want one, but this news is a little concerning.

I probably put around 150-200 rounds through it so far. I think I want to clean it and shoot a box of velocitors through it.

Hopefully that will help some more but I’m not joking about the mag. I’m not a fan as of this moment.

I have to agree with your assessment....

small caliber
rimfire
cheap ammo
large capacity magazine, etc

All lead to occasional hang ups....I felt this would be the case.

Still fun to own and shoot....should be a $300 gun, not $500.

That's a total deal breaker for a .22

That makes me feel a little better about the bronze TX-22 I impulse bought when PSA had it on their July 4 sale.

Did you shoot suppressed or non-suppressed? I ask because I haven’t had a single issue with mine, but have only shot suppressed. I also have only put bulk federal blue box through it, I’ll try some other brands next time out. Slide stop functions as intended as well.

I agree, very disappointing. Mine does not like Aguila blue box ammo. Wouldn’t be a big deal if I didn’t own a bunch of that ammo. My S&W M&P .22 compact eats anything put in it.It is definitely not as advertised.

I picked up the Tx-22 Competition from PSA last week. Haven't had the chance to shoot it yet though. Trigger seems quite nice for a 22 pistol.

Brand new guns straight out of the carry case can be temperamental. Particularly a Sig Sauer. I clean mine before I ever fire the first shot. Try cleaning it. Putting 100 rounds through it, clean it again, put another 100 rounds through it, and from then on out you should be good to go. That’s what I did with mine and it’s been a nice addition to my collection of firearms.

Y'all think $400 is a great price for this gun? My dealer just called me.

I honestly can't answer that one right now.

Give me a few weeks and I'll be able to give you an answer.

But I paid $500 for mine.

I bought mine for $500 and I would buy it again at that price, especially for $400.

$429 out thew door. It's going to take some getting used to, it's not a heavy barreled Buckmark.
