I know we have a couple vets here, the pollen is driving my Yorkie nuts. Hes old and is honking constantly since it dried up. My brief Google search says it's ok, but just seeing what y'all's thoughts are.
I don't really want to just knock him out with benadryl.

I e only ever given mine Benadryl (at the vet’s recommendation) after snakebites. Would think it would be ok if the Google’s say it is, but I’m cautious enough to call the vet first.

My vet said 1/2 of a Claritin for my 13 lb. Yorkie-Poo. Works great.

Ya, no Zyrtec-d. I feel like we've given it before but it's been a while.

Zyrtec is safe for dogs. I’d call your vet and run it by them if you’re want to give daily but for a smaller dog 5mg/half a pill should ve good. Medium dogs up to 50lb give 10mg. Anything above 50lbs, 20mg is safe.

If your wife has a dog and you don’t consider it your own you need therapy.

plain ole zyrtec in small amount would be ok but you should go to your primary DVM for consulting and get your pup on something specific.

Yes
Did it for years at the advice of my vet.

Our vet has our dog on a half a pill every day.
