Are osha certified esrbuds any good. Looking for something to wear cutting grass or on the tractor. My regular earbuds don't block out the noise good enough.
Any recommendations.

I just use these AirPod pros. With noise cancelling on I can barely hear my mower or tractor running. Doubt they are OSHA anything, but they work.

I don’t trust any 3 or 4 letter government bureaucrats.

Might could try a pair of ear muffs over the ear buds. I use some cheap over the ear shooting muffs when I cut…but I don’t have any ear buds to test it myself.

I use the ISOTunes brand. They make different models that are Bluetooth capable. Either ear buds or ear plugs that are wired and have magnets that keep them together and around your neck when not in your ears. I like them because they aren’t super bulky, but block out the sound. Great for in the workshop or cutting grass. More comfortable than the 3M ear muffs which I used before getting the ISOTunes, but are my backup for when my battery runs out. I feel like the 3M has better battery life, but both run a full day after a full charge. I usually only charge after I get the low battery warning.

I bought some Elgin Tuckus Discord Bluetooth ear plugs for cutting the grass. They are OSHA compliant.
The music is clear and i was even able to take a call while cutting.
If they ever go out, I would buy another pair.

I saw the ISOTunes and Elgins and was looking for first hand review.
Glad to know they work well.
Thanks.

This is what I do. They have the added benefit of catching the earbud when they fall out of your ears.

Since most lawn mowers produce around 90 dB, ideal ear protection for mowing will offer an NRR of 20 or more. The greater the NRR, the more protection.
The base level of ear muffs will provide 25dB of protection. Look for something in that range.
