Already spending your powerball winnings wisely, eh?

My uncle added one to his house when it was lifted after Hurricane Rita. I think it was ~$5K installed.
A quick google search should point you in the right direction for more details.

Don't know what a real one would be installed but my stepdad built one at our camp for around 2-3k. He also has the machinery to do it though.

I did a Google search... Was just hoping someone on the outdoor board had a positive or negative experience... Thanks

If I win the powerball I would just buy a nicer camp

The OB will tell you to make one from pallets and the winch from your 4 wheeler...

My stepdads works great for gear. It moves kind of slow so we never use it for personal use unless someone older has a hard time with the steps. For gear and groceries it is a life saver.

Like mentioned, they're pretty useful when you have a huge flight of stairs to go up at the camp. Groceries, dog kennels, bags, and just anything clumsy that you would rather not walk up or down the stairs.

My uncle's looks just like the one in this link and while it shows a little age, it still works fine ~7 years later. I think this type is the low end of the market and it's extremely slow, but does the job in getting him up ~8 ft to the elevated house.
Good Luck.

That would be a loose representation of what ours looks like except it has the lift system above.

We looked into them after my grandfather's stroke but ended up going with stair chairs for the 2 interior runs to get to the upstairs.
We did put in a small wheelchair lift at our office for a 3' exterior stair but haven't covered it yet. The biggest issue is going to be durability and maintenance.

This guy has done a lot in our area, and apparently installs all along the gulf coast

My neighbors in GI put one in a few years ago. I want to say it was only like 5k. But that's not rated for people. I think they said people rated was much more expensive for whatever reason. They use it for people anyway.
