Outdoor storage boxes

I've been taking my boys camping recently, and getting tired of loading all the gear and unloading at campsites. Thinking of getting one of those Plano or other brand plastic storage boxes with wheels to keep all the gear in. Anything particular I should look for, certain things to avoid etc?
I've got a medium sized tent that works for the three of us, a few fold up camp chairs, a camp stove, flashlights etc. Getting the tent back in its little zippered bag is always a pain, and making 2-3 trips back and forth to the car to grab the tent, then grab the chairs, then grab the cooler and other things is also a pain. Looking at one that is 37x18x14, and I could probably fit most of the larger items and a few smaller ones in there. Then whenever we are loading up to camp, grab this, grab the cooler, and off we go. Then when we get back home, it is already all packed up and just set it in the garage for the next time.

My advice is to get several of them of different sizes. I have a few and always end up taking more than one. As far as brands, they're all pretty similar. If wheels were required, I'd probably get the one with the best wheels rather than worry about the latches.

Take a look at the HDX 77 Gallon tote w wheels from Home Depot. It's bigger & only $60. I use it mostly for beach stuff and dry storage in back of truck when going on road trips. I do zip tie the lid on for extra protection to prevent lid from blowing off.

I second this and get the biggest nes they can fit on a hitch hauler rack.
I can stack three of them and the work perfect.
They should put those expensive Thule hitch boxes out of business.

I have one of these Plano boxes for all my turkey hunting stuff. Works good. But I don’t know if it would be big enough for everything you are wanting to put in it. I would get the bigger box someone posted earlier

Yeah, I've thought about the medium one as well. I'll check out the others too. I currently have an SUV as my company car, but will probably be switching to a smaller Pickup for my next one. Trying to plan ahead for that too. I'll probably end up with 2-3 at that point since I'll have more room in a truck bed and also will want stuff to be waterproof since it isn't going in the back of an SUV at that point.

Some have wheels. I don't use mine for camping, but the wheels come in handy.

That exact one you have pictured is excellent. I have one thats been in the back of my truck at least 6 months out of the year and it has never leaked or came open or anything.
