I dont think I am interested in reapplyjng the cover after each viewing. I dont think I want to be that economical.

I’ve had Vizio, LG, and TCL under my patio. Doesn’t get rained directly on, but 2’ from gutters, none were ever covered. Best was Vizio and worst was TCL. Buy a cheap Vizio, get 3-4 years before it dies, rinse and repeat.

Is it mounted to a wall under an eave, or truly exposed? I have one that folds back under an eave and it's just a regular TV. Been going strong for 3-4 yrs now. TVs are cheap. Buying a new $200 tv every third Black Friday sale is what I intend to do.

I may be a little confused, but you want to leave a TV outside exposed to the elements without covering it? If that's the case, I don't think it matters what you buy. It's not going to last long.

Yeah it is deep under the eave. Still worried about Alabama humidity, but recycling through cheap tvs every three years isnt a bad plan.

My bad. It has a roof but it's not screened in or anything, so sideways rain would be an issue.

In that case you will be surprised how long a cheap TV will last outside from my experience.

I've had a cheap Emerson under my porch for 7 years uncovered and it's still doing fine. I'm in south Louisiana so I'm sure the humidity is the same, plus we have a chlorine pool probably 15' away from tv and it still hasn't crapped out.
Hope this helps.

I bought a cheap insignia for my outdoor kitchen. 3 years and still rocking. Actually, the cheap insignia outdoors outlasted the 70” Samsung in my living room.

Pleasantly surprised?
Also, I need one that is streamable.

Bestbuy has a bunch of outdoor rated tvs as their deal of the day today.

I have no opinion on outdoor tvs, sunbrite was the only one available back in the day and it was stupid expensive. I went the cheap tv route.

I leave mine on and it seems to keep it dried out in high humidity scenarios. We get about 3-5 years out of them. I mean damn, you can get a 50" for under $250 all day long.. No way I would pay for an "outdoor" tv.

Go to best buy and get what ever fits for the budget and get the extended warranty. I had one on my back porch for about 5 years and the coverage was just about expired and it went out. Best buy sent someone to try to fix it and when they couldn't I got a check for the full amount I paid to go buy another one. I dont cover mine.

YW. I dont always pay for the extra coverage but sure was glad to have it on that lol. They didn't question where it was mounted but I did take it down, wipe it down, and knock off the mud dabbers nest.

This. I seldom cover ours. Its lasted 3 years. When it goes out I'll buy another one. Its covered by the porch roof but it is exposed to heat, cold and humidity. I had to install some motorized sun screens to knock the glare off so the picture can be seen but we needed them anyway....works great

As others said, cheap Roku TV and $20 cover from Amazon. I've had one outside for years and still works great. Takes 5seconds to take cover on/off. Even has a pocket for the remote.
