Pistol light recommendations

So what the OB's recommendation for pistol mounted light? Let's say, on for home setup and one for CC or truck gun. I have a couple Olights and never had any issues, but just curious about some thought of others.
Damn I need coffee.

I've got a TLR-7a on my Glock 19x and a TLR-1h on my Stacatto P. Honestly, it's mostly for the extra front weight and recoil management. I like them both and have had no issues with them working when needed. Been through many rounds.
I don't have a light on my CC gun. I do carry a small Streamlight Microstream sometimes if I know I'll be out at night. The TLR-7a is pretty compact and could easily be carried if you do decide you want to go that way.

I only have 1 light on a pistol and it's the mini rail mounted Olight. It hasn't given me a reason to swap it out.
I've been issued plenty of Surefire products and bought several with my own dime, but they're not a great value these days. I think they have so much military business they don't really have to worry about consumer purchases.

I have a stream light tlr7 on a Glock 43 mos with a holosun 507, I have had the light for several years now and no issues only have changed batteries.
I sometimes take the light off and carry without it but having it on for house duty or camp duty tracking wounded deer or hogs is nice.

Stream light 7 and 7a here. Have both worked great for the 2 years I've had them. I was able to pick them both up used in new condition for good prices.
I paid $80 for the 7 (don't care for the switch though) and $95 for the 7A flex(really like this one).

I do like the olights for their magnetic recharging cable.

I have a TLR HL on a 17 and a 19. One of the 2 is carried daily, and the lights get a ton of use around the farm. No issues in 4 or so years. Not sure how they stack up now days on the bang for the buck.

TLR-7 Sub on my X Macro. Sub model seemed to have the best holster compatibility when I ordered it. Not sure about the latest and greatest.
TLR1-HL or X300 Turbo for full size guns
The X300 is harder to activate than the TLR1. I’m going to get a paddle shifter from emissary development and try that on the X300.
The beam on the Turbo is pretty tight. I would consider an X300 Ultra if I were looking for a new pistol mounted light.

Good on you for discussing the topic.
A handgun to be used for self-defense should ALWAYS have a light on it and to level up, a green laser.
Trying to shoot while holding a flashlight is cool in theory but actually doing so under stress is ‘no bueno’, so having a light attached is key.
Before one ever invests in a red dot sight, invest in a quality gun light. Streamlight has the most options with light/laser combos. Surefire’s are good but Streamlight has better activation ergonomics.
Surefire with light extended out is actually best for close contact fighting (can press into aggressor and not jam up barrel).
Olights are another option but the magnetic chargers have been known to have QC issues (losing charging ability over time) and are very sensitive to temp swings.
Inforce has awesome lights for long guns and simple yet robust handgun lights; i have Wild2’s on couple handguns and they’re my favorite non-laser handgun light.
Hope that helps.
