PSA AK-47 vs AK-103: What’s the difference?

Quick google search tells me the basic difference is the additional/longer flash hider and 3-round burst option on the 103 vs the 47. Not seeing the 3-round burst option on PSA’s website. Not that I want it, I just don’t want to buy something that I’m not gonna be able to take home.

Unless you’re a SOT FFL holder, a regular citizen can’t get an AK-103-2 (3 round burst version).
The Palmetto State AK’s, especially GF4 versions (milled vs stamped) are good guns for the price.

Negative. You can only buy rifles/pistols that have semi-automatic (one pull, one bullet fired) OR a binary trigger like a Fostech or Franklin Arms.
3 round bursts are considered fully automatic in the FUBAR interpretation of the ATF.

PSA have many differences between their AK's.
The 103's come in gf3 and premium trims, the premium has the FN CHF barrel and is worth the upgrade $$$.
The 47's come in GF3, GF4 and GF5 trims. The biggest upgrade IMO is the barrel. GF4 is a PSA made CHF barrel and the GF5 has the FN barrel again.
I personally wouldn't want a GF3, I prefer the chrome lined barrels on the GF4, GF5 and Premium AK's. Honestly, they are all decent so just pick the one that has the features you want. I'll probably grab a 103 premium folder one day unless arsenal brings back the SAM7 with the 103 style folding stock

It sounds like, from multiple YouTube videos, that a 103 is the same as a 47. It’s just made with better/premium parts.

Like Armsdealer said, the 103 is more of a premium rifle due to the FN barrels. If you shoot alot, go with the 103.
Like Armsdealer stated, stay away from GF3s.
My opinion, get an AK-P with Picatinny dust cover with 10.5 barrel with SBA3 stock. Put in an ALG trigger and a red dot. I have 2 and they’re awesome “pistols”.

If you buy a PSA AK makes sure it's at least Gen 3.
