I ordered a 24*36 metal carport for my property in Liberty through the local dealer in September of 2020. I put a deposit down of 10% and was told it was going to be 5-6 months due to Covid.

Here we are in 2022 no delivery and neither me or the local dealer can get in touch with their corporate people to find out anything. We have been trying for 3 months.

Long story short there are about 10 orders out of the Liberty,ms area from 2020 still waiting. The company is obviously delaying on purpose because prices have gone up 30% since I signed my order.

Shitty company all the way around. I would say clear of them. Also from the local rep they can’t get them to do any warranty work.

Second that for Infinity Carports some outfit out of Texas. I waited forever. Nothing but problems from them or the vendor I made the purchase from.

They started selling another brand a few months ago and offered to switch me over for a 40% price increase.

It’s not the local reps fault. They are just booking orders. They tried to help but couldn’t get anywhere. Decided I’m just going to build it myself.

This is concerning. I ordered a 30x40 Carolina Carport through Alans Factory Outlet(large online dealer) 2 months ago.

I was informed that they wait until they have a large number of orders and/or total $ point in each geographical region before they ship all those orders and launch a team of installers.

I am in Baton Rouge LA and they "said" that this is a hot region due to the hurricane and they have fairly quick turnarounds.

Hoping I dont run into the same issue as you. My dealer told me that if there any ridiculous delays they would cancel the order and refund my deposit. Apparently, each dealers' commission is the deposit that you have to put down on the building. CCI (manufacturer) dont get paid anything until it is shipped and installed.

I’ve purchased a couple metal buildings from Carolina carports in the past . The first one in 2007 and another in 2015. Both were pleasant experiences.
I ordered a standalone carport for my sons truck in spring of 2020. They lost business going forward on that one. I paid the deposit and was given an install date. Needless to say that date came and went. I called the local dealer who is only a middle man . They just gave me an 800 number . The lady at corporate guaranteed an install date in a couple weeks . I took off work and no show due to weather in the area . No rain , storms etc were in the area. We did that 2 or 3 times with no carport . Customer service blamed the installers and I never heard from the field crew. I asked for a refund since they couldn’t give me any timeline on when it would be here . I was told to contact the dealer. They flat out refused . I took that as a lesson learned and will not do business with them again going forward.
