I wish Colt had the same philosophy as PSA in giving the customer what they want. Not an AK guy but could see myself finger banging a 5.56 Krink

PSA's steady rise over the last few years has been fun to watch. Their innovation, affordability, improvement with QA/QC and open interaction/feedback with their customers has been great.
I just picked up their new JAKL recently and have enjoyed it. I don't think there's another American company putting out the amount of options they have.

i think that's a double edge sword. they have way too many skus to maintain a respectable amount QC. it appears that they have figured some stuff out though. they mentioned a few times on some podcasts back during the week of Shot Show that, "nobody knows how many guns we ship each week. but you always hear about the one or two people that had a problem."
i paraphrased it, but that was pretty much the gist.
PA-15 line with multiple configurations
Jakl line with multiple configurations
Sabre line with multiple configurations
PSAK GF Series line with multiple configurations
Soviet Arms line with multiple configurations
Dagger line with multiple configurations
not to mention all of the additional accessories.

It's a valid point. The QC has gotten a lot better, but I think the safe play is to wait until the Gen 1 release for each weapon has gone through before purchasing it to on the safe side. I've got a Sabre, JAKL, AKV, & GF3AK from them and I've been happy with all of them for the most part.

Remind me. What’s special about these? I don’t know my Russian arms.

Obama banned importing Russian ones, drove prices up.
PSA saw an opportunity and made them in a much better caliber(556).

The AKSU-74s are a very desirable variant of the AK family. Very compact and handy. If you're a fan of SBRs, these are sweet AK.
If PSA can maintain good QA/QC, these rifles will sell like hot cakes.

Is it as good as it should be?

I mean... PSA has a point. They have put more ARs (liberal definition) into circulation than likely anyone but the continent of Asia.

Everyone of the kino skus are the same gun, just a furniture change. Alot of their stuff is the same way, the gun parts are the same and the cosmetics are different.

Reminds me a lot of the rise of Primary Arms. Little different focus, but honesty and knowing the customer goes a long way.
