Thought I was maybe storing it wrong, but started googling and seems there are a lot of comments specific to pro plan.

I’ve been noticing for several months now and noticed again last night with a 1 week old bag. Storing in a tin container in my garage

I generally buy from petco or petsmart. 37.5lb bag and go through that in about a month.

Look for little white specks

Eta: I just had a few more pieces in his bowl tonight that looked suspect with white specks on it. This is purina pro plan complete essentials- orange bag with the golden on it

Can you post a picture?

I’ve used a few different mixes of pro plan over the years but I’ve never had an issue with bugs.

I’ve seen meal moths in dog food before. It was related to the store and not the brand.

Yes. My vet recommended Purina Pro Plan because it tested well in the long term heart disease study.

But I stopped buying it because of the freaking moths that would start coming out of the bag after about a month. I'm sure I could just switch to a smaller size bag. But I'm not having that problem with Science Diet

I haven’t seen any bugs. But will certainly keep an eye on it.
Thanks for the heads up.

If you are buying it from a store, check the racks for moth activity. Supply chain issues likely. The moths will wreck everything in your pantry.

I buy pro plan on chewy and the food gets put l in a plastic screw top tub for over a month with no issues. I have a month supply on hand at all times.

I haven’t thought to ask. I’m thinking it’s how I’m storing it in my garage,
