Any solid recs of repair places that can service John Deere riding mower in the area? I may need pick up service. The tractor is completely stuck in reverse and can’t start or even be manually pushed

The John Deere dealer if it's relatively new and under warranty. Any of them really.
Otherwise the independent shops are usually good at at least diagnosing issues. Your problem will be sourcing parts either way. What is the model mower? If the back end is trashed, you might want to consider a new one.

Hydrostatic transmission? Should have hydro release valve(s) / lever that will allow the mower to free wheel and be pushed.

Very nice guy. They did some warranty work on my Husqvarna. He came and picked it up and when they completed the work he brought it back to me

Typical village idiot response.
Both JD and HOP known as Husqvarna put cheap general composite transmissions in their units. Uh you mean Husqvarna built junk also? Ooooh Yeah!!!!
Husqvarna also had Briggs in some of their units just like the JD did with composite transmissions which were recalled two or three years ago. They did this to lower their price on lawn tractors. MTD refused to use general transmissions and just lowered the tuff torque model to reduce cost in competitive models which was Craftsman tight turns and Cub Cadet XT1 42” & 46”.
I remember as I repaired over 300 of them between five shops as I did warranty work for home centers. Grass builds up in the general transmissions really easy.
FYI, the Deere engine in the entry level units is a Briggs engine. You can match up the parts to a certain Briggs engine and save a few buck going around the dealer vs paying for JD a markup. Spindles the same way as they buy them from a mfg who sells to other mfg’s.
The reason why I recommend Vince.
In the area.
Repairs multiple lines for home centers.
Has pickup and delivery service in the BR or in your case Livingston Parish area
