Died today hunting in Colorado (fell from what I understand). I often recommended Fish Commander for offshore trips out of Grand Isle, he was a great guy, and rarely came in without full boxes. I’ll miss seeing him around Bridgeside, a genuinely nice guy. Just this week he posted pictures of his little boy taking his first deer.
Tight lines and light seas buddy. I’ll miss the live videos of you blasting off out of Caminada Pass heading South.

Damn shame. Was able to get to GI a few years ago and fished with him.
RIP Lance.

He was a legend, saw him earlier this year. What a loss, but at least he lived a life many of us strive for.

3 youngsters at home makes this such a sad story. Never met the guy, but I hurt for those kids

Known Lance for a long time. We used to sneak out in high school and bass fish ponds around BR. Always enjoyed his company when I’d see him. RIP and prayers to his family and kids.

Awful, assuming a fall off/down a cliff? Very sad, he was a great fisherman. Went with him a couple times over the years and always came home with no cooler space.

Was a great guy. Chased his dreams and truly lived. seemed like he had really found his groove as a Dad. Makes me really sad. Will miss seeing him on the isle.

Damn I fished with Lance once. Me and 5 buddies went out with him. We’re waiting for him at bridge side and he gets on the boat and doesn’t say a word. Just as we’re about to take off he goes “everyone sit down and shut the frick up”
3 second pause and he starts laughing.

What a terrible way to go. Didn't know Lance that well. Ran into him a couple of times in GI. Saw he had a decent business and name down in GI. Prayers for the family.

Great guy and legendary outdoorsman. Had his kids following in his footsteps too. His 4 year old shot a deer the week before he died!
Truly lived life to the fullest.
