I have a chance to buy a 350 Legend to hunt Arkansasa during alternative weapon season, instead of my muzzleloader. I can get it brand new for just $335 w/scope, but does not have accuTrigger. Should that be a major concern?

I bought a Savage without the accutrigger, then bought a $15 trigger kit for it that was super easy to install. Came with two springs so you could choose your pounds. You literally just change out the spring. I think my current trigger is about 2.75lbs.

did you ever shoot it before making the upgrade? If so, was it ok?

It's a 200yd gun max

You can easily upgrade but at that distance a slightly heavier trigger pull isn't going to matter all that much.

Man, I honestly don't remember. I cant remember what the pounds were before I changed the spring. I was just letting you know that if you get it and the trigger sucks, you can fix the issue very easily, and I'm not the most mechanically inclined person out there, and I did it in like ten mins.

I have an older axis (non xp, I guess?) and the trigger is indeed heavy. Not the worst, but could use the spring upgrade. Never got around to it. I've not shot in a couple years, but not due to the trigger. Killed a pile of animals with it, as have my kids.

I believe the current models are the Axis and Axis II, and latter comes with the accu trigger. The former does not. Just find the model number and you should be able to find out pretty quickly.

I wouldn't pass on a good deal simply due to the trigger. It's not that bad, pull it is an easy upgrade if desired.

Have an older axis in 308 pre accutrigger. What everyone back then did, including me, is cut I want to say a coil and a half off the stock spring. Reduced the weight down significantly.

I have replaced a few of them with one from an ink pen. Works great.

Yeah, I bought the kit for like 25.00

But you could def. Use one from a pin.

Makes a huge difference. I like the gun after the trigger upgrade.
