Any of you guys ever sell your used guns to Cabela's/Bass Pro? I know you won't get top dollar for them because they have to make money too but is it a decent place to sell them quickly if you don't want them or use them anymore and would like to make a little quick cash? Any other suggestions to sell quickly?

That depends. What are you looking to sell.

Somebody on here might be willing to take it off your hands.

Or post what you have here and make the same cash without it being discoverable by uncle samuel

They are going to give you 25-30% of the guns value more than likely. Also depends on what it is ie Hunting rifle or shotgun is slow seller. I tried to do a trade with them one time on a HK 45 that I wanted in the gun library. I had a brand new Glock 17 in the box. They offered me $275 for the Glock.

What are you trying to sell? May give us a little more insight into helping you rehome it.

Buddy of mine wanted to sell one of his and BP offered $180 for his like-new CZ P-07. I get that they have to mark it up to make something but come on!

That seems like a pretty dumb way to sell a gun. Might as well take it to a pawn shop at that point.

I sell guns at Cabela’s, you will get the going rate on a trade or sale. We do get idiots that want MSRP on a used gun.

I know you will laugh, but I just sold a gun at cashmyguns.com and got top dollar. The process took about 7 days.

I’m not a big fan of selling guns, but this was a muzzle loader that I genuinely had zero use for. I took the money and put it into my AR build

Find a consignment shop near you, be prepared to pay their 10% fee and then hope to get top dollar for your piece.

I have a Ruger LC9s with a laser sight and holster. Never been fired. Also a 4570 rifle with scope. Only been fired 4 or 5 times to sight in. Bought both at Hebert Guns. Also a .243 kid type rifle with scope I bought at Academy.

I sold two guns at basspro a few months ago. No, you won’t get top dollar. But it’s preferable to trying to sell it on my own to some stranger. Maybe a pawn shop would give more money, I dunno.

I sold a Taurus 1911 for $300 and I sold a Hellcat for $300.

Fact: Cabelas profit margin in 2007 was about 25% on used guns. I don't know now since the BP merger. I bought hundreds for them and tried to be fair within that range.
