Skeeter SL 210 Reviews?

Does anyone have any experience with fish and ski Skeeters? Family member is selling a 2005 with 2005 Yamaha 225 vmax hpdi. Boat looks to be in decent shape. I can buy it for $12k.
Currently have a 21' Kenner and wasn't really looking for another boat but keep the Kenner in Louisiana and wouldn't hate having a bass boat in bama to fish around here. Looking for any firsthand experience with the Skeeter SL's.

Am I crazy or do the used boats with 200 or bigger motors sell cheaper than the 150’s?

I have a 2006 SL 190 with a yamaha 150 four stroke that I bought new. My wife and I decided on the fish/ski because our 2 boys were young and we wanted the 4 of us to fit comfortably and safely vs a traditional bass boat. It's better for playing than fishing, I will say, due to the smaller decks and less rod storage. As boat quality though, I haven't had any trouble other than needing to have the seats redone.
My advice after owning one for so long, don't buy one unless you really need the rear seats for young kids, especially if you'll use it more for fishing. If you do want the boat, it is good quality if it was remotely cared for.

I had the same boat for a few years and have the same opinions. It was well built and had no issues. But the back seat does take up a lot of room. I understand the one you are looking at is a little bigger.

I had a 190 for a while. It is an in between boat. Its not a great fishing platform and also not a good ski boat. But its a good combo that can serve family needs. Its a well built quality boat that can serve as a great family boat it just has sacrifices compared to a boat ski boat or a fishing boat.
Think of it as an elcamino... not a great car or truck....
With that said for a boat that can do a little of both and be fun for the family its nice.
