I planted about 1/2 acre of Antler King Clover this weekend on one food plot. I'm looking to do a smaller plot for my bow stand.

Cow peas. Aka deer ice cream! Will need at least an acre to be affective though

Large bean fields east and west of us. No need for spring/summer plots.
Clover is a great idea, although it might not do much during the summer.

Gonna be too hot for clover here pretty soon. Best planted in the fall for an early spring crop.

I'm planting clover and oats in the fall. Looking for something to make it through the hot summer as well. Don't have large enough plots for beans so I'm not sure what to plant

I plan on planting some jointvetch within the next 3-4 weeks. Never tried it, but read good stuff. Has anyone here had luck with it?

They will either love it or not touch it....seems to be geographical....based on what food sources are available in your area. I'm near Lorman Miss and they didn't touch jointvetch either time we planted....peas are the choice of our deer, every plot we hunt will have peas...they let it get 2.5-3' tall then they mow it down to the dirt....
