Is this hat really worth it for a thousand dollars?

Not going to say it isn't worth it; that is up to you. I have the El Patron in black and it sure is nice at 30X. Got mine when they were around $400; now they are $600. My advise is go with the Patron for half the price of the Presidente and get a second in silverbelly. I recently picked up a Resistol Midnight (~$300) in navy that is by far my favorite now. It is only 6X but looks great!
Another option if you really want to spend a grand is Lucchese's cowboy hat called, The Alamo. Friend of mine bought one last year and loves it.

Depends: have you cattle or no cattle?

That's a lot of money to spend just to let folks know I watched Yellowstone

lol, I've had hats for 30 years, long before Yellowstone, I just have more money now. I probably have 20 hats that I have collecting over the years. I'm just curious if anyone has any experience with these ones, I would like to have just one nice one and sell the rest to AntiqueTiger lol

yep...defining "worth it" is very subjective.
But if you like the hat and have the coins, buy it! Life is meant to be enjoyed.

I bet that is good looking. I don't see many navy hats.

I was just messing. If I wouldn't miss the money I'd 100% be wearing something like that.

I got a Stetson Skyline 6X in silverbelly. Love the hat and another great option for around $300

Depends on what "worth it" means.
My opinion only...if you're going to spend serious coin on a hat, find a top end hat store/maker, buy an open crown hat, and have them build the crown/shape the brim to your exact liking.

love it. Worth every penny
The worst part wasn't even the price, it was just finding it
I called Stetson and they told me these hats are so popular that they can't keep keep them in stock.

I’ve got a Silverbelly patron I wore one time to an event. It’s a great hat. I would let go for $400.

I have cattle and I haven't worn a cowboy hat since I ""has" to as a Cav Soldier that was awarded spurs. For formal events, I had to wear a black Stetson and spurs.
I wear any old hat I have lying around and I never even paid for them, just ones you get given to you when you buy shite.
When I'm working my cattle, there isn't another human being in sight and the cattle don't care what I wear.
frick man, I'm getting after it today wearing a pair of 8 year old beat to hell overalls.
