Few days in Texas and my boy
Had some fun. A nilgai cow at 240 yards with his tikka 6.5PRC
No tracking required.
Glad some on this board assisted us on that caliber choice.

Excellent.

Is it as tasty as everyone claimed?

First night we had the ranch’s version of beef stew, w chunked nilgai as the beef. Tender and delicious.

We tracked it 50 feet. :)

Nice, I am still trying to finish eating through my first and have another in the freezer.

It is good. Better than deer for sure, I haven't bought beef in two yrs now besides a brisket or two.

That being said, no wild game beats a good prime ribeye.

Which outfitter did you use? We went in December with Horn Fin Feather and scored. Still eating on this thing and loving it.

Top Notch place. This is where Steve Rinella, Joe Rogan, and Kristi Noem all went. There is a members only side which is “horn fin feather” but also houses guest on the same property. Any guest coming to hunt will typically go hunt on “Tajos Ranch” which is about 15 minutes away in a low fence free range area that borders King Ranch.
