Suggestions on crab traps?

I remember seeing CL ads from a few folks on the Bestbank of NO selling wire crab traps a few years back. Now in the market, does anyone have recs and how much they run?

I thought Barataria Bait on Belle Chasse highway just past the bridge had them, but I haven't been in for a few months. Walmart has the string ones as well. Where's your crabbing spot? We had one in Empire did ok for a while.

Take on ride on HWY 90 in Raceland and go to Southern Wire. It's at the corner Hwy 90 and 182. A new commercial grade trap rigged out is about $35-40

There is a guy in Springfield that builds awesome traps, way better than what you find in Academy or most stores.

Gus' sells Johnny's Crab traps. It's a couple dollars cheaper than going to Johnny's but not much cheaper.

I’ve got my half traps from gus’s in Slidell. I had to put some rebar in them to keep them in place when soaking.

They will sell them completely unrigged or they will rig them out as you wish
