Any of you guys shoot any TAC events locally or out of state? I have some friends heading to Broken Bow today. One weekend of no baseball but I'm on call for work.

Went shoot at 3D targets from 20-75 yards for the first time last weekend. Total difference than hunting the 20-30 yard distances.

Ordered some new arrows yesterday.

Been wanting to the past couple years. Got two youngsters 2.5 and under, so it’s tough to get away. Saving my family PTO days for the fall.

We're heading to Ozark, AR in 2 weeks to go shoot a shot 3D event. Looks like some fun. They actually host one in north LA that we'll hit up next year.

I made the Broken Bow trip. We had a good trip. It's all for fun and you don't even have to keep score if you don't want to and you can use rangefinders. We shot 75 targets over three days. Everything from a King Cobra to a Bigfoot and the elusive black panther. The three courses we shot had the targets placed from <40 to 104yds.

Have not shot TAC but will do it at some point. If you are anywhere around Thibodaux (guessing with the Swamprat name you may be close??) I have a a bunch of 3d targets set up out to 100 yds and am always looking for somebody to shoot with.

I had to edit my post. I reread it and it said you’d never shot TAC. Shoot me an email. dozrya at gmail. My buddy has targets out on his property in Thibodaux also. They shot Broken Bow and were going shoot 3D in Arkansas in 2 weeks. Usually shoot Sunday afternoons if we’re not at a baseball field with our kids.

Totally wanted to update this post and forgot.

So myself and 3 other guys went to BFE Arkansas to shoot a Shot 3D Experience event. Totally recommend if any of you bow hunters are interested in shooting 3D. Was very relaxing and not pressure filled. We shot 3 courses in one day. Total of 55 shots. Only lost 4 arrows which I thought wasn't too bad for the first time doing this.

The other guys had gone to TAC in Broken Bow and said the TAC events are packed with people and there is always people waiting/watching your shots.

Needless to say we're planning to attend at least Shot 3D in North Louisiana next year along with probably San Antonio TAC and maybe Michigan TAC. TAC arrow build for next year is in the works with 4mm arrows with goal weight of 375g to help with the longer shots.

I asked him to shoot me an email also. Never got anything.

But almost time to switch back to 20-40 yard shots exclusively to get ready for bow season.

What are you going with?

I'm just rolling with my Axis 5mm again this year. Roughly 430 grains. Switching from QAD Exodus to some T2 broadheads.

But next hunting arrows will be some Easton 5.0.
