Looking for some help in determining how much to use on a bunch of hogs. Has anyone on here had any experience with? Tips?
Thanks
Thanks

I think we're gonna need a bit more information before we can help you here....

Can't swear it works because I haven't personally tried it but if you are trying to get rid of hogs here are a couple hog extermination methods a buddy of mine uses and claims they work great.
Cut a couch cushion into 3" x 3" or so chunks, soak in some old cooking oil and distribute where swine are hanging out. Hog eats the chunk, plugs his bowels, can't crap...dies. Works for coyotes also.
Soak some corn in golden malrin dissolved in coke and put out some pile where they hang out.
This is can have some bad consequences because anything that eats the corn will die. Birds, deer, coons, etc.

Just know there is not such a thing as too much.
20 lbs stacked on 3-4 5 gallon buckets full of diesel makes a fun show.
Or so I’m told.

This is completely false

Sounds like a good way to kill deer and dogs too.
I’ve blown up beaver dams with tannerite and I’ve tried the hog thing but honestly trapping is so much more effective than tannerite

I was thinking of using the Malrin on yotes but was nervous about this. Everything I have seen says it will kill a wide variety of animals.
Any ideas on how I should best target yotes?

How many pounds did you use?
I know trapping would be more effective and we may do that too but I want to have fun with them.

For every coyote you kill you will kill 10-15 other animals and ANY animal that eats them
Including eagles

Federal crime
I know someone quite well that is a world of hurt for using malrin to kill rats and coons and ended up killing raptors snd neighbors cats from scavenging

The good thing about Malrin is that is very quick acting.
There is ways to minimize the exposure to other animals.

There’s a reason it’s a federal crime. Poisoning any wildlife is not a good option and irresponsible at best

Hence why I have only thought about it and not done it. Will stick to snares and traps.

I’m not a huge outdoorsman but this is a terrible way to kill an animal.
Trap or shoot them. Quick effective death.

I know trapping would be more effective and we may do that too but I want to have fun with them.
So we did it twice. Once with 20 pounds and then again with 30 pounds.
First time we had it in bottom surrounds by corn. I set up a plywood blind 100 yards away
First time i had 3 around it with 20 pounds and shot it. One ran away completely. One died instantly. One had a fricked leg and ran like 80 yards. Had to shoot it again. I always wondered if that first one had a mortal wound but got away. Always kind of felt like a dick for it.
Second time we used 30 pounds and hunted over the bait pile for 3 days and the shot it with 2 small 70 pounders around it close. Both died but needed another one to the head to seal the deal.
In total I devoted about 35-40 hours to kill 4 pigs.
But I needed them off the land.
I set 3 traps about a month later and caught 37 hogs in 8 days. And devoted less of my time to it than killing 4 hogs.
I’d rather be bass fishing, bow hunting or playing with my kids instead of dealing with hogs. Also the kills aren’t ethical.

It's not an effective method. You're much better off trapping or even hunting them

Also, I hope anyone who does the soaked sponge thing for any animal out side of a child rapist gets jail time.
