Big imgur album with captions

For those that don't know, Kevin Brittingham was the original creator of AAC back when they were the king of suppressors, and after he was fired, he skulldrug them in court and got PAID. He went on to create Sig Sauer's silencer division, before leaving to start his own company, Q. They decided that they wanted to expand beyond suppressors, so KB stole Ethan Lessard and a few other industry hotshots to come along with him.

This gun, The Fix, is the bolt gun that they announced at SHOT, along with the long-dead Honey Badger, both of which I preordered. Finally got everything together on my Fix last week, and the HB should be coming this week or next week. Here are a few pics/gifs/specs on the Fix

Rig
- Q Fix #27 (Trash Panda with matching serial is in jail)
- Swarovski Z8i 2.3-18x56 w/ BRX reticle and BTF turret
- Nightforce Unimount - Xtreme Duty Ultralight - 1.375"
- Atlas PSR BT46-LW17 w/ ADM mount
- Silencerco Omega (temporary until I get my Trash Panda)
- 2 Barrels - Proof Research 24" in 6.5CM and Bartlein 16" in 308

Features
- 45deg bolt that comes back on rails (see gif)
- Extremely lightweight (24" config with scope, bipod, suppressor is 11lb. Ruger Precision Rifle GUN ONLY is 10.7lbs lol)
- Awesome, fully adjustable folding stock
- 2lb drop-safe trigger
- Quick change calibers/barrels
- AR ergonomics
- Radian 75deg selector

Weights
Rifle only w/ Bartlein 16" 308 barrel - 6.85lbs
Rifle only w/ 24" 6.5CM barrel - 7.6lbs
(All with Proof barrel, will take weights with 308 later)
Rifle + Scope - 9.2lbs
Rifle + Scope + Bipod - 10lbs
Rifle + Scope + Bipod + Omega - 11lbs

I will add more info after I take it to the range. Been so busy with work + it took me a while to get scope & accessories in, so I haven't gotten around to shooting yet. It definitely passes the eyeball test though lol. Love how quickly it can be reconfigured. 16" config can be a lightweight hunting/utility rifle, 24" version can be used as a long range juggernaut. Recoil wrote an excellent article about this gun if yall want to learn a little more.

Big thanks to Interstate Guns and Bowie Outfitters for helping me get this thing kitted out. I'm ecstatic with how it turned out.

Here's the good stuff:

KB does designs on one box per day before shipping. Got lucky enough to get the Baton Rouge flag on mine

The case it ships in is made by Blue Force. It's called the D-Bag

308 config with Atlas (no scope yet)

308 config all rigged out

Factory trigger data

24" config folded

24" config open

BTF Turret

Very nice, the box art is a nice touch. I also like how the customer service reps email on the manual is ken@kevinwasamistake.com or something like that.

Can you customize the colors? I've seen different rifles with tan/orange/blue furniture.

Pretty much anything. You can buy .300wsm barrels for it too if you want to go after some bigger bears and stuff shooting 200gr ammo. 6.5 creedmoor will do anything up to and including black bear.

It doesn’t look like it would carry very well for your regular ol daily deer hunt. Super bad arse looking rig though. Not sure how you’ve owned it for more than a day without shooting it yet. I would have taken off work.

Pretty sweet rifle and the MSRP says $3k which is really not nearly as crazy as I thought it'd be.

That bolt operation gif has me pretty hard

Someone should make that a up vote GIF with a bunch of green arrows lined up on the bolt going in and out.

Looks sweet! Just curious why the offset scope mount? Doesn't look like it would need it.

offset? you mean extended? It's the NF A192, I guess it's all that Interstate had in stock when I went. Doesn't bug me much
