I have you tubed the crap out of it. Threw it inthe yard 50 times, and I still cannot get it. The best I can do is a mangled triangle. I was even standing on a table. I see little kids doing it all the time. It can't be that hard.
I wrap line around wrist, roll up and keep in right hand, double up neck and hold in right hand, pick up one side an put in right hand (don't know exactly which part?) then grab from other side and put in lef hand. Guessing on which part there too. Then toss right to left lettin go at same time, not up but out. Any pointers?

Instead of concentrating on the throwing part, concentrate on spinning it. The spinning motion is your problem if you are getting triangle patterns. The more spin it has the further the sinkers on the outside will go out and it will result in a more circular pattern.

How do I spin it more? Twist more when I throw it? It seemed like the more I twisted the more I hit myself in the feet with the weights?

Some nets are harder to throw than others...

stand on something since you will most likely be casting below you not on even ground.

If you have to catch the net half way down and make it half the size, I do this sometimes when i dont have room to make the full spin.

Not sure what size you got but I find it easier to throw the larger ones versus the smaller. Also, try standing on a something.

Would probably help since you're pretty short. It's just one of those things that you'll screw up and get right one time and go "OHHHH so that's how you do it"

Does it matter where you grab the bottom weighted part at, when you put the net in your right and left hands, right before throwing? I keep thinking there must be a secret to that?

Absolutely..this may be your problem . I catch the weights twice ..once straight down and about a foot behind that. Keep trying different things, once you get the hang of it, its like riding a bike.

I've been throwing nets since they were made of cotton. I found this site which shows the exact way I throw my net...i used the last instruction. It also works with a 6 or 7 ft net.

It is really hard to explain threw words. I bite part of the opening to keep the net spread. I also put a good spin on it so it opens up nicely. Very hard to explain though

I put it in my mouth when I throw it. Not the best as sometimes I'm throwing it in some pretty nasty water, but then I just disinfect my mouth with some alcohol and all is well.

pick a section that is the closest to your body grab it and put the rope between two weights in your teeth then throw

If you are going to be throwing in a reserve check the size before getting bigger than 5 ft.

I re-read your technique, try this I am right handed. line around left wrist roll up hold with left hand when i get all line i grab the plastic ringwith right hand and hold the net in the middle with left. now take led rope and put rope in teeth and stick my right arm strait outand grab another peice of led rope put back to water and spin slow like throwing a frisbee.
using two hands to throw it is causing your triangle
