Where are the closest trails to hike that have hills nearest to Lafayette? I’m assuming near Alexandria?

If you really want some elevation changes, Tunica. Better be in decent shape though.

I usually hike tunica a few times a month due to the hills. It might be closed for turkey season right now though

The biggest hills would be Kisatchie Hills Wilderness.

I'm a big fan of the longleaf vista road to backbone trail loop in kisatchie.

Hop on all trails and search for it. There are a couple of other trails in that area worth checking out as well that you can locate using all trails.

If your in Lafayette the Backbone or Wild Azalea trails are your best. Wild Azalea will be 30 minutes closer to you. Both are fun hikes.

Just got home from hiking Clark’s Creek with my son and some other Boy Scouts. Did the primitive loop. It is pretty hilly and can be challenging for a fat old guy like me lol
