Never owned a trailer with trailer brakes that worked. We have a horse trailer that came with trailer brakes, but they never worked since we bought it. Didn't know what I was missing. Decided to sell the horse trailer, and it seems the non working brakes were a sticking point with some buyers, so I miraculously ordered the right replacement the first time around. They were incredibly easy to install. Took around an hour to replace all 4 and took it for a test drive and holy crap it stops so much easier with trailer brakes.

Selling this trailer to buy a gooseneck flatbed for a little business venture I've started that is going well so far. I'll be making sure the gooseneck's brakes work on whatever I decide to purchase.

I've had to haul a rental excavator and skid steer recently and Sunbelt's trailer they've been renting us doesn't have brakes which now that I know how well they work, I find really odd.

Electric over hydraulic disc brakes are pretty badass. Even our 18’ tandem trailer has them.

Almost any truck can pull a heavy trailer, it’s the stopping that heavy trailer in a hurry that can be a problem. Good trailer brakes gives you peace of mind.

Especially with the new automatic sway control progressesive brake controllers. Some of the new tech you can get is downright sexy.

Next thing you know we'll have anti lock brake controllers.

What's fun is when you're pulling 28k pounds and come stopping time you find out they've stopped working since the last stop.

You talk about literally standing up in the drivers seat...

What are you hauling that's 28k pounds? I thought hauling a 9k excavator with another 2k lbs of concrete culverts was a decent load.
