Any advice on which area to take the family on a hike? I know they are basically the same/very similar, but looking for a relatively easy hike for the kids.

I'm only familiar with Clark. But whichever you choose, bring about 5 gallons of water per person.

Neither is an “easy hike” due to the elevation changes. But Clark Creek seems a bit more kid friendly to me. Everyone will still be worn out by the end.
Clark Creek is more scenic because of the waterfalls and will have a lot of people on the trail.
Tunica Hills is a more primitive hike and you’ll probably have the trail all to yourself.
ETA: How old are the kids? I took my 9 year old daughter out there last year and she did ok. Probably wouldn’t recommend bringing kids that are too young unless you want to be carrying them uphill on the way back

Watch where you walk at both places.

Whatever water you think you need. Bring more. The primitive trail at Clark creek is no joke. It whooped my arse 50 pounds ago. Can’t imagine doing it now. Golly I’m fat.

Clark Creek is nice but my step son was hiking there just last weekend and said the Horse flies were really bad so be prepared.
I've always enjoyed Clear Springs

Good luck hiking in this heat, as smart people go only when it's cool outside.

West Feliciana sport park has a hiking trail that isn't as brutal as Clark's creek or Tunica. But go with Tunica if those are your only 2 options.

We ended up at Clark Creek. 16 y.o. niece, 9 and 8 y.o. daughters, almost 2 y.o. son, wife and I. It wasn’t bad at all going in. A couple of steep spots but the girls did fine and passing my boy back and forth til we got to the creek bed. Horseflies were brutal if in the creek and not on the trail. Walked out on the trail and a couple of the climbs carrying my son reminded me I’m getting old fast, but overall a great day! Thanks for all the comments.
