Vortex / Vault hubs and tandem trailer with brakes

Those that are using either Vortex or Vault hubs, what are you using on the axle that has the braking system. I would like to change over my hubs and I am looking for recommendations on what to use for the hubs that have the brakes.
Unless I missed something, I did not see Vortex or Vault hubs for hubs with brakes.

Whats the longest you've gone without pumping grease in vortex hubs? I have the non-break version with the screw on cap. It just seems odd not to put in new grease but it does say maintenance free to 100,000 miles. I've pumped new grease a few times, and its always clean good looking grease start coming back out of the hub. I haven't messed with them in a few months.
Had mine for about a year and probably have a few 1,000 to 2,000 miles on them.

They say 6 years, mine lasted 6 years and two months before I blew one out, by then I just bought new axles and replaced everything.

I only got two years(8k) out of one of mine, so definitely keep an eye on them. but you really shouldnt be putting any grease in them from what I have heard. also make sure you use the lucas grease if you do

Did you ever do anything to them in that 6 years? Any warning sign or next you know you were changing the hub on the side of the road?
My boat rides a lot on I-10 from Houston to Chambers County and a few times a year to St Tammany Parish. I have some older backup hubs in the toolbox, but would prefer to not have to change on I-10.

I only use that Lucas grease. keep a spare tube and the grease gun loaded in the toolbox. Do you know what happened? Any warning?

I unscrewed the cap and saw the grease getting milky. I flushed it with new grease and got another 1200 miles for the trip. I didn’t feel like dealing with it my self on vacation so had a trailer shop replace. They just used a normal hub as a replacement. They did not see any issues with the spindle.
