In a world of all the new brands and our old faithfuls Costa and Maui Jim, I thought a return to a real classic would be cool.
Ironic because a French company Luxottica owns both of them to include Ray Ban. When they bought Costa several years back, that was when their bullet proof warranty got holes in it.

After Costa finally denied replacing their shitty frames that keep falling apart, I started shopping around for a new brand. I wasn't in the mood to spend Maui Jim money.
I ended up going with some Vortex. Just like their optics, they are a great value. Been using them a few months now and likely wont be going back to anything else.

Luxottica does not own Maui Jims.
Owned by Kering Eyewear.

I have a pair of wiley x's that I really like. I got them cause they are just as good as Costas and I can wear them for work.

Still wearing my Oakleys.

ancient pair of Costas.
Also have some cheap Calcuttas that perform well enough and I don't give a shite if I lose them.

Wish costa would make the man o wars again. Was probably my favorite pair of sunglasses I ever had.

I’ve owned Costa, Bajio, and Maui Jims with a lot of different lens types. FWIW my old Maui Jim’s had by far my favorite lenses, the Maui HT

When I discovered Maui Jim offered reader's built in to some of their models, I had to try. I got a pair of Ho'Okipa polarized with readers built in. Game changer for me not having to swap between readers and sun glasses while out on the water. Super light and comfortable. I have a backup pair of REVOs that are nice, but they use a film to wrap the plastic with for the pattern and it's bubbling off now. But the lenses are quality.

Actually, if you are looking for a cheap option, look at any welding supply shop.
They have decent safety glasses in yellow, clear and dark smoke. Some even offer reading glass inserts for various magnifications. I can be out running the boat and look down at a map without moving them like any bifocals.
All for under $20.
Not as stylish as my Aviators, but cheap and effective.
