Tired of weed eating the pond. Gotta b a better resolution out there.... Before I research, what can the mighty OB recommend?

About an acre pond. About 25 times bigger than NASCAR's

I would never spray around a pond. Will cause erosion

Roundup would be safe. But watch for erosion.

Get a goat tied to a concrete block. Move block as needed. My cousin had on for a big parish ditch. Kept that ditch spotless for years, until a flood. RIP NANNY

boss, don't quote me on this, but do some reading up on Gramaxone (paraquat). I believe it will defoliate but not kill, so may not cause erosion. If I wasn't at this birthday party pounding beer, I'd read up for ya. 99% sure it's restricted though.

Paraguat is what WLF was/is using for salvinia.

Try KillsAll Aquatic. I believe it is made just for your problem.

Didn't think of paraquat but in theory that should work. Doesn't hurt fish or roots. Boom

Gramoxone (Paraquat) will burn down the plant. The plant will wither and die. I haven't read the label in years but 2-4-D will kill weeds but not grass so if you have Bermuda or St Aug, etc under the weeds that may be an option

Diaquat is what is used for aquatics. Also works in land based plants but is more expensive.

It will defoliate, but do that often enough roots will eventually die and weeds will take the place of grass.

I still recommend a goat. Can also keep you company.

Diquat maybe? I don't know if paraquat is labeled for aquatic use.

I would imagine you would need a license for purchasing.

It might be diquat, it's one of those "quats" that WLF was using for salvinia though.

Diquat is correct.

It is what the LWF uses.

Nodust is correct.
