Anyone ever eat Zebra??? I'm going to try and bag one in the next year or two and was wondering if the meat was worth a damn or if it would taste like horse?????

Andrew Zimmerman ate one on Bizarre Eats in the episode I watched last night, said it tastes like flank steak.
He probably over sold it though, since he eats garbage the rest of the show.

Is horse that bad? I'm going to be in France this summer and was thinking about finding some. I heard they tear that shite up.

From what I've heard, horse meat is actually pretty good. We just wound up eating cows because horses were smarter and ran away

A little like horse with subtle undertones of young giraffe.

If it taste like horse then I had some because I ate glue as a kid

I have eaten Zebra and it was very good - not unpleasant at all. However, I have never eaten horse so cannot make the comparison.

My friend Jay Riemenschneider eats horse all the time.

These days people are perplexed about upon which meat to dine
With mad cow and hoof & mouth affecting cows and sheep and swine
A hungry man starts to look around for a way to supersize
And his thoughts turn to Mr. Ed with ketchup and fries
Now I'm fixin' a dinner from a horse with no name
Some blackened Black Beauty and a Flicka filet
That Man o'War wellington my mom used to make
And her Secretariat salisbury steak
It used to be that when a horse's riding days were through
They'd ship him to the factory and turn him into glue
A hungry man starts to look around with knife and fork and bib
For a dinner that is guaranteed to stick to his ribs
Now I'm fixin' a dinner from a horse with no name
Some blackened Black Beauty and a Flicka filet
That Man o'War wellington my mom used to make
And her Secretariat salisbury steak
Well a cowboy he needs a horse, needs a horse
For a main course, a main course, a main course
Seabiscuits and gravy can do a nice job
Hi-yo Silver stir-fry and Mr. Ed kababs

From what I have been told, many countries, other than the US, love horse meat. It is a highly sought after meat in Germany.

Tastes a little like Bald Eagle only a little tougher.

My boss killed 2 on his last trip to Africa and said it is awesome. He killed 21 animals I believe and said the giraffe was the only thing he could not eat.

I don't believe, he had a film crew with him the whole time. So I think it was legit.
