I have a 2013 Honda 4x4 220 Rancher, keep it serviced annually front the dealer.
It’s has 266 hours on it.
Is that low? What is high hours?
If service regularly and kept under roof, how long should I expect life expectancy to be?
Thanks in advance.

I don't know what is high, but my Yamaha timberwolf gets the hell used out of it, at least 10 hours per week and back a few years ago, I would go on long trail rides in the mountains in summer and would have it running at least 15 hours over the weekend. It's an 87 model. It doesn't have a clock or a odometer though. I bet that thing has 12,000 hours on it.

That's low, and well below average for the year model I'm guessing.

I figured my old yamaha was high hours after 20 years when it started smoking and couldn't go in reverse anymore. Bought it in 93, still at my grandmother's farm, use it for stuff around there.

pretty low hours. my 2016 yamaha 700, the dealer said it takes around 30 hours to break in the engine 100% so 260 hours is not that many for a honda especially. ive seen honda’s with thousands and thousands and thousands of hours on them. just take care of it and it will last

I had a Polaris (7ntil it hit a tree) that had near 2400 miles and it still ran well.

Still rolling on a 1990 Honda 300 Fourtrax 4x4. Hours unknown but nothing has been done to the engine but change the oil every 5-10 years and a few spark plugs
Carbs been rebuilt several times, cdi box replaced, brake pads, battery, tires the usual stuff.

I have my original 1985 Honda atc 70.
From age 4-8 I had a budget of 3 gallons of gas a week. I ran it completely out almost every week. During the summers, I'd siphon the gas out of the bikes the hunters left at our camp. That same engine is rated from anywhere from 75 to 120 mpg today depending on the application.
If it even got 25 mpg.... That's 15000 miles. I still ride it occasionally 25 years later
Eta: my friend owns a soil testing company and has some 420 automatics with 20k+ miles and pushing 2400 hpurs.
He brings them in for new seals every 3k miles or so. Covered under warranty

I have/had an 07 Rincon that made it to about 2500 hrs and 14,000 miles before it crapped out.
I bought it from a guy in his late 50’s that relied on it for soil sampling and checking cotton so it was well serviced. Can’t remember exactly what the stats were when I acquired it, but I got 3 or 4 good years out of it.

We have a 2000 Yamaha Grizzly at my inlaws property that stays under a lean-to. Probably has 600+ hours on it with not a whole lot of maintenance. Just don't let it sit for more than a couple months without running it.

I knew a guy who had over 4000 hours on a 400 Honda. Id call that high hours.
Depends how hard you use it. 1000 hours would be a lot if its mashed out all the time

Common thread seems to be if you average driving 5-6 mph you can get some years of use

I had a honda 450 foreman, when I finally got rid of it, it had 31,000 miles and 4300 hours. It was used on a farm 7 days a week.
