What scope should I put on a S&W M&P 15-22?

Got one this past week and thinking about just putting a red-dot on it.
Don't want to spend more than $100 on it.
Thinking about this one:
Sightmark Sure Shot Reflex Sight

Got the Bushnell TRS-25 red dot on mine right now. Thinking about getting something with some magnification though

I just purchased a Simmons .22 Mag 3-9x32 that I'll probably put on mine

I, I mean my buddy, went through this. He put a red dot on it because it was apparently the thing to do.
Then he realized he had a rifle with no magnification, kinda pointless unless you are doing urban assault inside a building, so he just put a leupold scope on it and is much happier with the accuracy it improved while target shooting. Which is what he uses it for 95% of the time. It's also deadlier the other 5% of the time it's shooting critters.

I had this BSA 4x30 on my Carry-Handle model Mossberg tactical 22. I'm going to put it on my 15-22 but I need to get a set of elevated rings or a rail riser because it sits too low on a "flat top" AR.
Cost me $53 with shipping from Cheaper than Dirt (before we started boycotting them

This is exactly my quandary. I think I do want the magnification put my kids will be shooting it a lot and with a scope I have to get rings as well.

+1 on a cheap .22 Simmons scope or something similar.

I am looking for an Aimpoint clone, plan on running mine in training since 5.56 is so expensive/hard to find

CTD was one of the first companies to pull AR type weapons and accessories after the Newtown shootings.
Then after the backlash from their core customer base the tried to crawfish. The damage was done and they showed their true colors.

i wonder if it was just a business decision to try to up their sales, instead of a political move. but either way, i'm all for busting their chops for it. thx for the info.

Looks like a perfect scope to sit on a M&P 15-22

I've got this UTG on mine.
It's noting fancy but it works for what I want it to do, no magnification though. I think they are somewhere aroung $50.
