Which show would you want to be on more, Alone or Naked and Afraid?

To be honest, I love the Alone show but my behind would be out within 24 hours. Your skill level has to be off the charts to survive just a few days.

I would have to go the Naked and Afraid route because at least you have someone to lean on and you're not alone at night with dangerous animals lurking all around. I'm not afraid of the dark, but being alone in the wild at night, I might be. You still have to have a decent about of wilderness survival skills, but you can make it without being an expert.

I also think I have a much better chance to last 21 days, versus months in the freezing cold weather on Alone. The thing that amazes me about Alone is they have several contestants that are in their late 50s, which is absolutely mind boggling, and they do quite well!

Alone, they have more weapons, supplies and clothes! I could not deal with the bugs and being barefoot in the wild

Neither . That’s one of those things that looks real easy sitting on your couch in the AC eating ice cream.
Living that crap would suck arse.

Alone. No one wants to see this vienna sausage sitting on top of a crown royal bag full of mandarines.

As long as it isn't the actual desert. lack of water is the real killer.

If you know the area you are going in advance you can memorize all of the native species of plants, grasses, and trees.

At that point, you'll survive.

Hell that'd be the easy part. You gotta have crazy endurance. You're going 100 days and you won't be comfortable for a moment of it. Even with food provided I couldn't last that long knowing all I have to do is radio in.

No brainer - Alone. Winner of Alone gets $500,000. Surviving Naked and Afraid gets nothing but bragging rights.

I know Roland Welker , the guy that won alone season 7, went 100 days for 1 million, he is by far the toughest man I have ever been around, and he said it was tough as hell, I want no part of it, I might be able to make it a couple days but only because the weather is generally pretty tame in the beginning

No brained - Alone.

They take the contestants to the base camp a few days before insertion so you can fatten up and learn about the location. Just one night getting eaten by mosquitoes and I’d tap out of Naked. I’d rather be alone than partnered with some of the folks on Naked. The big wildcard with Alone is your assigned location. There are plenty of stories of fakery done by the Naked crew but no one really questions the validity of Alone.

Besides, I don’t have the mandatory tattoos that Naked seems to require.

Alone here. On N and A you have no voice in who you're teamed up with and my luck would find me getting teamed up with a tranny vegan or some other oddity of the modern world.

Most of the N and A locations seem to be in some incredibly hot, humid, bug infested area that the participants get eaten up in for days on end.

At least with Alone you get a variety of survival tools, clothes and of late, weapons to deal with large predators.

Alone and only if it was an area that I am already familiar with... USA. No exotic places for me where I don't know shite about the plants and insects.

That dude has to be one badass to make it that long. You're talking about more than 3 months out in the wilderness on your own. Of course, the money is a pretty good incentive, but you have to be next level to make it out there that long. He's definitely got my respect and I bet he has some incredible stories to tell!

Alone. Easily.

I enjoy solitude, can hunt and fish, and I don’t mind trying to find greeneries for sustenance. Last year I did a four week fast, so I know I can go long periods without food.

The only drawback I think would be the fact that no matter what I do or wear, my toes get really cold when I’m hunting in 40s or below.

He’s been my favorite contestant, no doubt. He seems tough as nails and definitely made good points about not wasting time out there, only acquire food and shelter, not making trinkets, not in it for a spiritual journey, etc.

It might have been hard, but ole Roland made it look easy. Part of me thinks the girl that got frost bite would have been there to the end with him.

Talked with him after the show, said it was tough as hell, but he actually had plenty of food, said he was he only contestant to actually show weight gains towards the end, lost plenty from start to finish but he said about day 85 he knew he had plenty and started eating heavy and put weight on in the last 2 weeks, said he actually brought food out of the bush with him, did not want to be limited to the broth and crap that he knew they would feed him

I agree Callie would have made it a 100 days had they not pulled her out, and I wonder if they did not pull her out to avoid controversy of what to do with 2 people making it 100 days

Good point. I’m sure she would gladly trade a toe for 500k.

I actually went online to register to be on Alone recently but got a response that the next cast had been filled. Not saying it wouldn’t be extremely difficult , but I think I could compete and would love the opportunity.

Neither but if I had to choose, Alone. I just dont think I could sleep naked on the ground with my junk in the dirt. Bugs too.

Nope

Absolutely Alone. You have a few supplies and you are actually set up to try to build a habitat and survive.

Naked and Afraid is simply trying to survive for 3 weeks until it’s over.
