white lake fishing - is it worth the effort?

Not sure if you are talking about White Lake in general or the White Lake conservation area fishing lottery. I've never fished in the lottery area. The general White Lake area can be good for blue catfish though. The White Lake jetties can be good for reds. That's a pretty big and shallow lake, so it can get rough quick.

lottery area. fished it years ago, but apparently the lottery area is not the prime stuff I fished years ago
