Will a Gamo 1250 FPS Pellet Gun Kill a Raccoon?

One of our dogs just caught one and shook the shite out of it and now the raccoon is just sitting in our backyard, we think its injured pretty bad and want to put it out of its misery. I don't know if a pellet gun would do much good though. I have a 9mm but thats not a good idea.

Gonna take a lot of shots. Go with the 9 - neighbors won't mind. No matter where you shoot it, you're going to feel real bad with the torture you inflict before it finally dies. Been there.

is it .177 or.22?
I have old school .177 Benjamon I put like 12 pellets in a coon up a tree the other day and it didn't do shite to that coon.
Even got a sighted in scope in the damn thing.

I am sure there are many othre options in your garage or shed. Screwdriver, knife, shovel, rake, stick, axe, maul, etc. Lots of options

.177 that says it shoots 1250 fps but thats with those really light alloy one. I bet it can maybe get a little over 1000 fps with the other pellets I have.

those are with I shot that coon with out of my Benjamin.. And you know a Benjamin can sling a damn pellet with 10-12 pumps.

I stepped off 10 yards or so and had my brother shoot me in the back starting with 1 pump. On 2 pumps it welped my skin and it was bleading. Hurt like hell. That was as far as I got

.177 and that fast might just go right through them, might need to choose a really good pellet. if you dont have the gun yet, get a .22 instead

Your gun will kill the coon just fine. Just walk up to him and shoot him in the head.

I shot a raccoon probably 10 times with a pellet gun trying to kill it, to no avail. Then, I shot it twice with rat shot and the SOB was still moving.

I killed one last week on my back porch with my pellet rifle. Sheridan 20 cal, 7 pumps, right between the eyes. I think he kicked twice.
