Yamaha outboard/boat repair shop

I'm looking to restore my 17 ft. bay boat with 90 h.p. Yamaha engine back to top condition before putting it up for sale. It's been sitting idle for a while with no serious issues. I'd be thankful for any recommendations ya'll might have for a reliable repair shop in the Baton Rouge area. Any help/information would be much appreciated.

Not familiar with Baton Rouge but in des allemands is outcast marine.. Top notch, probably a few weeks waiting period but it's worth it..

Either bring it to Cajun Outboards in Plaquemine or Jerry's Boat Shop in Gonzales.
There's also Simon's outboards in Prairieville/Gonzales - he's good, but prepare your wallet.

I used David Wade for my Suzuki motor and a power pole install with no complaints. Price was fair and turnaround was quick. Will use again. It is down the road from Ruffino's.

I see people looking for types of boats similar to yours from time to time on here. May be beneficial to drop the manufacturer and year of hull and motor in case a baw wants to keep an eye out when you start marketing it.

Outcast in Des Allemands is the best of the best for Yamaha. But will be a pretty long wait most likely.
If it just needs some basic work, I’m sure any decent boat mechanic in the area could get you fixed up.

Might want to call Breaux and Daigle in Pierre Part too.

I wonder if he posted photos of your speakers and claimed he installed those too

Can you elaborate on this? I handle all of our social media and I will never take credit for anyone else’s work. We’ve been the victim of this countless times over my 20 year career at DWM. I have no problems with sharing pictures of a few of the boats that come through our shop for others to enjoy. That may include a boat builder’s impressive work but will never take credit for it if it’s not done by our hands. Take the time to read photo descriptions and don’t assume what you don’t know.

I am not sure of redneck's reason for the content of his post or his disappearing act. I am a Yamaha guy and have never been to or dealt with DWM, however, I have family and friends who hang Merc's and they swear by this company. In addition, DVM often posts on anther boating site with very informative recommendations and tips, even if those post are positive feed back about his competitors.
