Which do you prefer for fish storage?
Be specific of Brand and model if you prefer vacuum seal. I may just have to buy it.

Food Saver V3825. I don't buy ziplocs for anything besides transporting fish and game. Once I get home, everything runs through this. Ziploc is great as long as you're not gonna let it sit in the freezer very long. But, if you have a huge loaded freezer like me, and you occasionally find year old stuff buried in the bottom, the foodsaver stuff is gonna be good. The ziploc stuff is gonna be freezer burned.

I've always been a ziplock guy, but that may change.
Folks in Alaska recently gave me their last year's fish in vacuum bags. Man, it's still in great shape and flavor is great.
Learn about and get a vacuum sealer for sure.

vacuum sealer. you cant compare the 2 since they are nothing alike. thats like comparing the first wheel made of stone to a forged alloy wheel.
i vac seal everything. and esp fish. i seal each piece of fish individually. therefore making it easier to just thaw 1 piece instead of a whole mess of fish.
btw i use the foodsaver 2220. works great and you can manually seal it when your ready.

Can you use other bags or do you have to buy foodsaver brand bags?
