Lamar Jackson doing coffee house poetry would have been better

I don't know about any DEI aspect, but that was hot trash.

To be honest I had no idea who he was. Never heard of him. It was trash.

It's like the NFL has an issue with white folks

I had 'heard' of him... like one hears about a Kardashian... never have I ever- that I know of- heard his, eh, music.
Being all famous and whatnot, and doing a halftime for the superbowl... I would think at least SOME modicum of talent would be involved. Even if it isn't my cup of tea. That clip was oof.

NFL is constantly trying to grow there fanbase so they will target them. We can blame an entire generation for embracing rap culture and having absolute shite taste in no talent music.
Everything with this generation is cheap and lazy though, music will be no different.
Learn an instrument? Form a band? Earn your stripes through the bar circuit? Learn a little theory, maybe a basic 1 4 5 progression? Nope, let’s talk shite into a mic to a shitty electronic beat that was tracked in less than 30 mins. “Genius”.

The problem isn't Lamar , it's Roger Goodell. No white guys with toxic masculinity allowed. The NFL has to play footsie with the Government because of anti-trust exemptions. You noticed how they changed their DEI messages in end zones once the Social Justice Warriors of the Biden administration were gone.
