Became a US citizen recently

After living in USA legally for 21 years, 8 months, and 26 days, I finally became a US citizen last week.
I am excited!
I have been on various visas. Basically seen it all. F1 student visa during my MS and PhD at LSU. OPT work permit when I started working after grad school. H1B visas after that for four three-year terms. Employment based Green Card petition was approved in 2010 but never received the Green Card because of the extended weight for Indian born people. Marriage based Green Card after that. And finally citizenship.
I probably know more than most on this board about employment based legal immigration process, how broken the system is, and how it is being exploited constantly.
I have been reading this board probably for 16-17 years now and enjoy reading the immigration related threads, even when I don't always agree with some posts and posters.
Since immigration is such an important political issue now in this country, I thought I will share about this personal milestone here. Feel free to ask questions.

Good for you... Welcome American citizen...

What were your 10 questions and did you get any wrong?

On behalf of the people in Tennessee, (I am allowed to speak for all) I sincerely say, welcome to the team.

Would choose you, with knowledge of your journey to citizenship, over any random natural born citizen about whom I knew nothing.
Congratulations on actually earning your status - as opposed to those who have it but have no idea of its special status in this world.

They don't ask you ten questions, they stop if you answers 6 correctly? I think during my interview the officer miscounted and stopped after I answered 5 correctly. The questions were, who is the governor of my state, why did the colonists came to USA, what is the name of the national anthem, one power of fed gov, and can't remember the last one.
I was asked to write a sentence in English for the language test!

It’s up to 10 questions. You have to get 6/10 correctly.
The hyper majority of the 100 question pool are absolutely mind numbingly easy but there are a handful of tricky frickers thrown in.
Good job bro!

Random thought: English is such a weird language. If we negate a past action, or if we ask a question about a past action, then we have to use the present tense of the verb. Non-native English speakers struggle with this.
But anyway, congrats on the citizenship.

Yes, many many times. I grew up in Calcutta India, the scam call center capital of India.
A couple of years back I actually coached a coworker of mine on Indian curse words that he can use with Indian scam callers!

Believe it or not, I did not know the term "Jerusalem cruiser" until now.
I do wear Chacos and Birkenstock.
I am a boot-nerd. I wear all American made PNW boots. My gift to myself to celebrate my citizenship is going to be a custom made bison leather boot from Frank's Boots from Spokane, WA.
My favorite curry is the Bengali goat meat curry. Cooked it last week. Bengali food, which is famous in India, is one of the milder varities. The base spices are garam masala, coriander, mace. And mustard oil is the main fat.

My coworker now uses benchod liberally to refer to some other people at our work.
I don't approve of that, as I did not start that :-)

Glad you have good taste and sense of humor.
