Meetings will be held in Oberlin Monday the 28th and Wednesday the 30th. Both at 6:00 pm at the Oberlin Civic Center. On the 29th the House Natural Resources and Environment Committee hearings will be held at the capital at 9 am will be conducted on the issue. Hopefully Rep. Carrier will be at all 3 meetings to try and justify why he is letting this happen in his district. Also hope the police jury members who have said High Risk, High Reward will be there to explain how all of them except one have not spoken up to protect there district. May be a new set of people running things after the next elections. PLEASE COME OUT AND BE SEEN AND HEARD!!!!!!!

Ask them how this is profitable without government tax credits, then follow up by asking what happens once the credit program ends (because nothing lasts forever).

You can also bring up the ruptures in Sulphur and Sartartia.

Carbon capture seems like a huge scam. Isn't carbon one of the most abundant elements on earth? They would do better finding away to make energy cheaper or desalinating ocean water. It would have a bigger impact on earth.

Be sure to hit up the Crawfish Shack before or after the meeting. Probably best before, because I got a feeling that’s gonna be a long arse townhall with all sorts of mad folks. Crawfish Shack will be closed before you get out.

Landowners will get screwed on this deal. No one will chance the drill through requirements Exxon wants, and the state controls the minerals in the injection zone in perpetuity after they start injecting.

Landry is fricking oil production in the state.

How come every other production company is scared of legacy lawsuits, but Exxon gets the green light on this? Unless, they plan on suing the frick out of Exxon after Landry completely arse fricks the state. Wouldn't surprise me.

I got a call earlier this week asking me survey questions on my thoughts on carbon capture.

You say it’s high risk, but why? There is nothing very risky about carbon capture. Example: Right now the ammonia plants take their CO2 waste stream and discharge it into the air. With carbon capture they will pipe it to compressors which will pressurize it into a dense phase and send it down a pipeline. That sounds much better than what we’re doing now.

So is it CO2 sequestration you are concerned about? The storing of that dense phase CO2 in underground reservoirs? That’s very safe, too. We pipe it to Class VI wells and inject it into a reservoir that has been thoroughly checked out for permeability, and it has monitoring wells that detect if the underground CO2 plume is approaching a fault or the edge of a rock cap. It’s extremely safe and low risk.

Still screws the landowners and it’s being misrepresented.

$250 per acre and $1.50 per metric ton is not acceptable to potentially lose your minerals to the injection zone and below.

This is correct. O&G companies transport and inject CO2 for enhanced reservoir recovery. Been doing it for 50 years.

Now…whether government should be paying companies to do this is a different argument. I’m on the side of No Thank You.

Some spots in Allen Parish have never produced any real paying quantities of O&G, though. If I were a landowner in one of those pockets, I’d be ok with a sequestration lease.

I’d ask for AT LEAST $2/ton, though, and an escalator in case our Federal government gets even dumber and increases 45Q even more.

Plus Exxon bought Denbury. It’s nothing but a move to capitalize on tax credits and federal subsidies. In other words…bullshite that we will have to pay for that provides nothing except for a handful.

You can find recent studies that say the plant life on earth needs MORE cardon dioxide!!!!!! Then you read we will die tomorrow if we don't buy a Tesla!

Even the scientists are paid off by the progs....there is nothing wrong with the environment, IMO!

To oppose or favor?

Carbon Dioxide removal / "capture" is a insane concept beyond belief. Folks don't understand this process or agenda. These evil nuts are also actively blocking the sun.

Without carbon dioxide there is no photosynthesis for plants, exchange of oxygen, and warm / temperate climate as we know it. Gates and other mad scientists and elites are being given a license to kill the planet's life forces.

Bad enough this guy already led the charge to poison or kill millions with clot-shots.

Most dangerous lunatic on the planet by far. (Instead of arresting Gates President Trump actually spent hours with him at Mar a Lago. What DID they discuss?)

Are these grifters going to discuss trees? Because they naturally capture carbon.

I hope Trump guts every single red cent of federal funding for this “green new scam” frivolity.
