CNN cancels Charles Barkley and Gayle King’s weekly show

The CNN weekly prime time talk show co-hosted by basketball loudmouth Charles Barkley and CBS morning star Gayle King has ended a six-month run that failed to produce ratings.
The weekly call-in show “King Charles,” which aired at 10 p.m. Eastern time on Wednesday nights failed to generate more viewers than reruns of the sitcom “Friends” and episodes of “South Park.”
It was the lowest-rated prime time weeknight series debut for CNN in at least a decade, according to Nielsen.
When the show launched in November, CNN said it planned to air it through the early spring.

Well we know it’s not Barkleys fault. CNN is just a toxic brand…. They torpedoed their reputation just to get after trump and they can’t reverse the damage

They could put the same show on Fox, pair Chuck with Harris Faulkner and it would be a humongous hit.

Chuck is an Auburn guy, nice guy, I like him. But I do not want to watch some sports star blab on about politics. If CNN was going to go that route, they should have matched him up with some other former sports star (Aaron Rogers?). Gail King has about as much personality as driftwood.

I had no idea this was even a show. Had I known about it I would have watched it the same amount that I did so far.
