the media thinks it’s “racist” because they ignore this story and then therefore assume the joke is calling the Puerto Rico people “trash” when the joke was the truth
if the Biden/Harris admin really cares about Puerto Rico what are they doing about this problem? if liberals and climate change activists care so much about the environment, where are they here?

So? 10 days before an election isn't when you decide to bring it up while introducing the candidate for POTUS. It wasn't random. Why not bring up the fact that most Indians smell like the juice in the bottom of a garbage truck while you are at it?

What do you suggest? Not saying Puerto Rico is burying it right but landfills in the states are an engineered facility that most folks don't understand...
The technology does not exist to recycle of get rid of the trash we generate...

I happen to work with a couple of Puerto Rican guys. I asked them what they thought about the joke. They both told me they thought it was hilarious and that no lies were told, that they loved their homeland, but that the destitute condition of Puerto Rico is why they were here.
Both are MAGA to the core.
