Still how do you let someone snatch her bag as security
Posted on 4/21/25 at 12:11 pm to ksayetiger
If that’s the case, they surely support the maximum penalty on the perp then… right?

wtf she doesn't have a detail?

Sudden or stealthy seizure or snatching is a robbery in DC.

she should stay kitted out in tac gear all the time
Why would that have mattered?
It’s not like the perp started chomping the neighbor’s chickens or something.

She has a secret service detail…

Bo Snerdly is reporting she had $3000 cash in her purse. Who carries that much cash?
Posted on 4/21/25 at 12:21 pm to KwoodTiger
How does a detail allow someone that close to her that they could snatch her purse? Holy frick our secret service is an absolute disaster right now
Posted on 4/21/25 at 12:23 pm to SPEEDY
Glad she’s ok, but that’s pretty dumb carrying that much cash in DC. Nothing will happen to the thief.

How so?
Larceny by itself is not robbery in most places. Someone mentioned purse snatching may be in DC - so I can't speak to that.
But I think it's relevant to the question of security (ie, a taking by force against our DHS secretary which is what most would think when "robbery" is used).

Hoo boy.
So another Cabinet member is victimized by public humiliation? DHS no less? Not believable, but ok.
Something stinks to medium heaven. Hard to believe what's happened thus far (or rather NOT happened)
* Noem (robbed in DC of all places)
* Hegseth (supposed sloppiness in sharing info + email included media member)
* Bondi (Eppy File binder debacle, totally impotent)
* Kash (Big Zero thus far, backing off from cleaning up Dodge)
RFK (backed way off of opposing Big Pharm and vaxxes; now suddenly a proponent. The good news: He's tackled our #1 problem: Red Dye #3 as Monsanto expands GMO ops along with US human/farm-killer Gates.)
Who's next?

Pfff, Ron Abernathy got $3k stolen out of his van in the early 80’s when he was out recruiting.

Bo Snerdly is still around? Radio show? Podcast? Where would I find his show so I listen to him?

Stole her makeup. Somebody better get her more stat. That lady wears enough to scrape it off with a butter knife.

FFS the Homeland Security Secretary - effectively the domestic SECDEF - doesn't have a fricking security detail?
One thing that we consistently do in our society is vastly overrate the effectiveness of "security"
Look at the trump shooter (the one that actually hit him) not the best example bc of whatever behind the scenes shite that may or may not have been going on but also look at the health care CEO that had security, look at this event. Look at others. Having security isn't some end all be all. Things can get by them
Honestly if I was someone like her and it was legal (prolly isn't in DC) I'd have a gun on me at all times and even that won't stop 100% of people who might just decide to shoot you in the back of the head one day
